How it works

How the referral service works

H. Mae LLC runs the website. An independent, licensed contractor does the work. This page explains what happens in between, for homeowners and for contractors.

For homeowners

  1. You describe the project on one of our brand sites. The form asks what you need done, where the property is, your timeline and how to reach you. Each brand covers one trade in one area, listed on Our brands.
  2. We share your request with an independent, licensed contractor. The contractor works in that trade and serves your area. We send them what you submitted so they can contact you about the project.
  3. The contractor contacts you directly. They look at the job, quote it and set their own price. You decide whether to hire them.
  4. If you hire them, the contract is between you and the contractor. They perform the work under their own agreement with you and are responsible for it. H. Mae LLC is not a party to that agreement and does no construction work.

What it costs you

Nothing. Sending a request is free and you are under no obligation to hire anyone. H. Mae LLC may be compensated by the contractor who receives your request.

Check the contractor's licence before you hire

Every state our brands serve has a public licence lookup. Search the contractor's business name or licence number before you sign anything.

Each lookup page was opened and checked on October 25, 2026.

Your information

The brand site you used shares what you submitted with the contractor so they can contact you. Each brand site's privacy policy explains what it collects and who it shares it with. To ask about a request you sent, contact H. Mae LLC and name the brand site and the date.

For contractors

Our brands receive requests from homeowners for one trade in one area. If you hold a current licence for that work where you operate, you can receive those requests.

  1. You receive the homeowner's request. It carries what the homeowner told the brand site: the work, the location, the timeline and their contact details.
  2. You contact the homeowner yourself. You inspect, quote and set your own price.
  3. Any contract is yours. If the homeowner hires you, you do the work under your own agreement with them. H. Mae LLC is not a party to it.

How H. Mae LLC is paid

H. Mae LLC may be compensated by the contractor who receives a request. Homeowners pay us nothing. We do not promise any number of requests.

To ask about receiving requests in your trade and area, email hello@hmaeoregon.com with your business name, trade, the area you serve and your licence number.
